Presentation for Fortismere CLN Forum
In preparation for the forum tomorrow, here is a copy of the slideshow to be presented and some of the items discussed. Below are some of the key questions that we would like to discuss in addition to agreeing on the Governing Document:
Purpose: Should the Creative Learning Network (CLN) set out to make a change? Are we engaged in Action Research?
Definition: What are the skills required to be creative?
Methods: How can we nurture creative thought and action in students at Fortismere?
Assessment: How do we assess or evaluate the creative ability of students at Fortismere? Do we need to ‘measure’ creativity?

Fortismere CLN Forum Meeting - This Tuesday
This Tuesday (18/01/2011) will be the date of our first formal meeting so I am attaching a link to our schedule below:
Fortismere CLN Forum Schedule
Since it is the first meeting, the first 20 minutes will be concerned with agreeing the aims and objectives of the group and a proposal with be put forward for amendment.
One of the key questions that the group really needs to discuss and agree on at the meeting is what working definition of creativity we should be using in the context of the network's aims and objectives. If you have any views on this or guidance material that you would like to propose( i.e. web links of interest), please attach them as comments (you will have to be logged into Blogger to do this, which is the same as your Google Account).
If you are currently involved in any activities or projects that are about developing students' creative thinking skills, then there will be an opportunity to share them during the 'Developments' or 'Opportunities' stage of the agenda. In the future, it would be great if all members could have an opportunity to present at our Forum so please have a think about what might be of benefit to you and the members to present. In addition, if you know of students that have shown strong creative thinking skills in the realisation of a project or activity, then it would be also be good to encourage them to join the blog and post or come to the meetings to present. At this meeting, we will have a presentation by joe Winters of the new INK E-Mag that he has helped to set up.
