Network Structure

Below is a copy of the email with the proposal for the structure of the network:

Dear All

Thanks to all those that managed to come to the first CFN meeting on Monday. We hope you feel that this could be a productive network and based on some of the comments you left with us, it is clear that members would like a combination of face-to-face meetings and remote learning so we are suggesting the following:

Meetings
Meetings could have a simple structure which consists of a group discussion about a current project being planned, delivered or evaluated by one or two members and twinned with a skills swap workshop in which we share some of the practical skills we have. This way, we can have some discourse and some practical learning objectives, which might make it feel a nice balance between theory and practice. Perhaps we could work with the idea of having a meeting once a half term and at our next meeting we can discuss the agenda for the year and pilot a meeting in the style of the above?

Blog
The Blog is used as our primary method of communication, where members document their activities, ideas and, where possible, give some feedback to each other via comments. If you do something interesting, no matter how small, please blog it. We are also interested in opportunities that might be of interest. By the end of the year, we should have a rich resource. Thank you Bill and Dan for your recent entries. We are attaching a screenshot of how to set up your email blogging address, which means that you can blog via email very simply. If you find this difficult, please let Zek know and he will come and show you.

Please let us know your thoughts on this? Do you like this structure? Any suggestions?

MLE Room
If you check the MLE, you will see that you all have a tab called 'CFN'. Within this area, can we ask you to share documents, links and other resources that might be useful to share. There are appropriate headings. There is also a noticeboard area where we can agree dates for the next meeting. We have proposed Monday 13th December as a time. If this is difficult, please let us know?

Zek & Dan
